IBG Operator

Position Summary:

Verifies final part quality to customer requirements.   The operator will perform: audits, visual inspection, IBG operation, and disposition of barrels according to shipping time requirements.   Must be able to write non conformances for out of specification parts, run multiple IBG and other inspection machines, package product, assign lot numbers, label, and use forklift to place boxes in FG storage area.

Essential Functions:


  1. Visual inspection of pinions, axles, and roller product.
  2. Setup, operate, load, and troubleshoot IBG and other inspection equipment.
  3. Perform final dimensional measurements as required by customer or internally.
  4. Complete paperwork such as production tickets, non conformance forms and quality reports. Records data as required.
  5. Load parts into/onto inspection tables and inspection machines using barrel dumper or by hand.
  6. Manually move barrels on castors from workstation to the next work station.
  7. Package parts for shipment.
  8. Assign lot numbers and shipping labels then scan to master labels.
  9. Move package parts for one location to the next by use of forklift.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Physical requirements: (frequency)  Stoop = 25%, Sit = 50%, Stand = 75%, Bend = 50%  Walking = 75%, Climbing = 50%, Dexterity = 50%, Lifting = 50% up to 30 lbs., Pushing = 50% up to 500 lbs.
  1. Good communication skills, quality minded, detail oriented and the ability to operate independently.
  2. Experience in precision gage measurements.
  3. Experience in computer data entry.
  4. Operate forklift and package stapler.
